Information Design: Exercises
LECTURES
Week 1
07/01/2018
This week, was an introductory class to what information design is. We were briefed on what the module would require from us and what we were expected to do. Information design is basically a means of communication through visualisation. In the lecture conducted today, we learnt that visuals are more effective since they can be processed quicker.
INSTRUCTIONS
EXERCISES
Week 1
07/01/2019
This week, we were given an exercises which involved buttons. We were asked to split the buttons into categories based on size and texture and gather information about them. We were then told to create an infographic poster using the gathered information.
Week 1
08/01/2019
Process for the infographic animation video, 'Desserts for Stressed Times.'
Feedback
Week 2: Mr.Kanan saw my work and told me it was good but the background distracted from the original design so asked me to make a solid colour background.
REFLECTION
Week 1: This week was intense, for some reason, we had an assumption that this semester would be easy but nope. This week was just us being handed work everyday and being told we would have to present and presenting is nit my strong point. Sage fright is my best friend and is always there when its time to present but heres to a good semester.
Week 2: The first day of this week ended with tears. Presenting happened and where I had to repeat my slide and got praised by the lecturers, I ended up crying but discreetly so no one could tell which had me feeling like a spy but I hope the next presentations go well.
Week 3: No reflection due to intercultural trip.
Week 4: The pokemon exercise seemed like a very hard task to do and half way through it I got confused because of the keyframes but confusion is just another fancy word for experience and skill. I got over my fear of after effects and realised its not that scary to work on. Working on my project, I understood how the games were designed and which tools are used to make games or videos or animations look the way they look, its all after effects. And, I now know how to do it also.
