30/03/18 Afsah Faheem (0334242) Digital Photography and Imaging Week 1: The beginning: 30/04/18 For our class, we were introduced to our lecturers, Mr.Hafiz and Mr.Jeffery. Once the introductions and module outline was explained, we jumped straight into the world of photoshop. For our first exercise, Mr.Jeffery showed us how to edit a person into a different picture. This would be done using clipping masks and the masking tool which allows you to erase the elements in a picture you do not wish to have, in my understanding, it's a much more complex version of your everyday crop tool. 1.1 Photo given to us by Mr.Jeffery in which we had to mask a man.  1.2 Man who we had to mask into the picture shown above 1.3 Final, man masked into the image provided. Design Principles Exercises 28/03/18 Afsah Faheem (0334242) Week 1 Contrast 29/03/18 The principle of contrast is when a person experiences two similar things in succession, the perception of the second is influenced by the first. The idea for this piece was initially the writing only but having the writing and nothing on the other side made the composition look unbalanced. So I added the robot and argued about removing the writing but they ended up complimenting each other and both ended up int eh composition. 1.1 Contrast Week 2 Gestalt 05/04/18 Gestalt is a psychological term that means 'unified whole,' and it refers to the theories of visual perception.
