Week 1
07/01/2019
It was the first week, and Mr.Shamsul told us he would be leading us through the final project and he gave us a brief about what we would be doing. We were shown our seniors work and we had to make an infographic animation, comparing tow different topics. We were split into groups and I teamed up with May, Adele, Kitty, Stephanie and Johann. The six of us started bracing storming to come up with a suitable topic. We shortlisted between three topics:
1) Cat person vs Dog person
2) Lofi vs Vaporwave
3)Dementia vs Schizophrenia 
We decided to go with Dementia vs Schizophrenia. Mr.Shamsul told us our video had to include the 5 W's and the 1 H (what, who, where, when, why and how) We split up the tasks amongst us all.

Week 2
14/01/2019
This week, May and I, having done psychology before, were assigned with doing the research. She did dementia and I did schizophrenia.

Apart from that. I started doing the script and Johann made, which means, I made the script and he called out my typos.

I was the narrator of the video so I began to start recording the script whilst everyone else started on the illustrations. everyone agreed on doing a different type of animated effect, instead of graphics, we would use a tracing effect with a very traditional art style.

Trial for our art and animation style.

We then came up with the storyboard. We sketched out the frames and decided how the animation would go. 

Week 3

21/01/2019

This week was the intercultural trip so we all got on the planes and flew off to our specific destinations.

Week 4

28/01/2019

This week, Adele gave us an example of her art style and told May, Kitty and I to start the dummy drawing. May ended up doing Kitty's drawings actually so it was just May and I who did the drawing.

Johann then made the dummy video.

Once we were done with this, we started to figure out our final colour palette.

1.1: Light green and green

1.2: Yellow and green

 1.3: Orange and green

The yellow was mainly preferred but since our theme was extremely serious, we need a colour that went with it and yellow is usually signified as a happy colour.

 1.4: Blue and purple

 1.5 Light green

1.6 Silver

We feel that light green is a nice colour but it needs to be a little darker. Hence, dark green is our final chose line colour. 

1.7 Dark green as final

Furthermore, we added some shadings to it as for now it is too plain. We added purplish shading to it as it goes well together with this colour. 

1.8 Final art for animation.

The yellow was mainly preferred but since our theme was extremely serious, we need a colour that went with it and yellow is usually signified as a happy colour.

1.9 Final Typeface used was Broken Stick

Week 5

04/02/2019

This week was Chinese New Year so we didn't do much. 

Week 6

11/02/2019

This week, May and Adele started working on the illustrations and Johann and I started working on the vector drawings.

Week 7

18/02/2019

Once everything was done, it was Kitty and Stephanie's turn to add in the typography and start the actual animating.

However, there was mix up in the animation and Kitty couldn't finish it on time and Adele and May had to take it into their own hands and somehow managed to finish the animation in time.

REFLECTION

Week 1 to Week 7: I will be very honest, through this project, I got to see a sides of people, I never want to see. Some of us can become annoying, some of us can be very carefree, some of us just don't care and procrastinate and do their own things without thinking about how its not just them who will suffer but the rest of us also. I learnt through this module, that being professional is not easy and that when working in groups, you have to have a stone heart because even your own friends, will stop being your friends. I realised, that some of us cannot take criticism and that some of us will refuse to admit that they are wrong and will argue even when they know they are wrong. All in all, I'm glad everyone came out with all body parts and with no hard feelings.
