Advanced Interactive Design:

DESIGN PROCESS

Week 7 - Week 12

The first course of action was to start illustrating my assets for my horror folklore.

1.1 Portal to the unknown

1.2 Falling down

1.3 Parallels

1.4 Hallway

1.5 Hands reaching out

1.6 The Djinn holding down the person in terror

1.7 Silhouette of lady

1.8 In bed

1.9 Fire Creature

1.10 Silhouette of djinn

1.11 Growing up

1.12 Over view of workspace

1.13 Colour Palettes (but the colours were later changed in illustrator)

After the assets were done, the difficult bit came: the animation. I knew I wanted a fade in fade out kind of animation but didn't know about the interface. That was until Mr.Shamsul showed me this example where you clicked a button which took you to the next scene and that worked out for me.

1.14 First frame on Adobe Animate

1.15 Final frame on Adobe Animate

FEEDBACK

Week 12: Mr.Shamsul told me to do my animations in a movie clip since it would be easier to organise and since the timeline would be a lot more cleaner and smoother.

Week 13: Mr.Shamsul told us about the buttons and how he wanted the buttons to have sounds. He also helped me figure out an animation and interactive idea with the one button that takes you to the next frame.

REFLECTION

Week 14: The final project was a bit of a stressful situation since I didn't know where to fit it in with all the other modules but I went back home for a week and managed to finish all my assets. All that was left then was to start animating which was another stressful situation since I didn't know how to animate it until Mr.Shamsul told me about the fade in and the fade out. Once I had figured the animation and the timeline out, I was able to complete the project on time.
